Last night when Autumn & I were grocery shopping, I wanted to get some Fuji apples b/c I like how crisp and flavorful they are. Plus, around 3:00 in the day I tend to get hungry for a snack and I want to snack on something healthy instead of candy or chips. Anyways, they seem expensive at $1.57 a pound but I bought 4 of them and they ended up being 99 cents each. I just have to remind myself that I would spend that much for a small bag of chips, but this is a much better option. I keep an apple cutter at the office so it makes it more convenient to cut and eat them. I love how this one fanned out and looked like a star.
After work, Mom said she was feeling sick we everyone was on their own. I had a $5 gift card to Subway from some reward points I earned at my bank. So, Autumn & I went there for dinner and shared a sandwich. I loved getting to sit and talk to her about her day.
When we got home, I got out this manuscript tablet that Autumn got for Christmas and I wrote her sight words for the week in her book on the top row. Then I had her copy the words below that. Then I covered up the words and spelled out each word for her letter by letter, and had her write them. She did pretty darn well if you ask me. This will be our new system for practicing her sight words so she can feel more confident during their tests on Fridays.
After working w/ her on sight words, I had to leave for a Stake Single Adult meeting at the church. Usually I have YWomen’s on Wednesday night, but every other month we have SA meeting, so I went to that and then once we got done at 8:00, I went to the last 15 minutes of YW. They had a lady in another ward that does hair come show them some hairstyles and talk about hair care. I came home & Mom and Dad were here visiting b/c they had gone out to dinner and brought Nick the left overs. We talked for a little bit and then they went home.
I got Autumn to bed and had the last 1/2 of Revenge on in the background while I edited photos and blogged and worked on PLife. I’m glad it’s already Thursday tomorrow. This week has gone by fast.
