Film Friday

Tonight after work/school, we went over to Mom & Dad’s house.  Mom & I made some cheesecake that she’s allowed to have on her new diet.  We didn’t like the nut crust last time, so this time she just cooked them in ramekins and they looked so good when they came out of the oven.  But, they don’t taste good until they have chilled in the fridge overnight.

We didn’t have anything planned for tonight, so we looked on the Redbox to see what movies were available.  We rented Monte Carlo, Courageous, & Anonymous.  Monte Carlo was cute but was slow and disjointed.  It’s one that I won’t watch again and definitely won’t buy.  Then we watched Courageous and even though there were some cheesy parts and the acting was less than stellar, I really really liked this movie.  The plot was great and it had me laughing so hard (Javier and the Snake Kings).  It also had me crying b/c it was so touching.  Javier was my favorite in the movie.  It was an excellent feel good movie that I will definitely purchase.

My favorite part is the song “When We’re Together”.  I bought it on iTunes as soon as the movie was over.  If you haven’t listened to it before, you can listen HERE.  I love the lyrics and the fun, upbeat music.  We didn’t realize how late it was, but it was already 11:00 when the movie got over!  We said family prayer and Nick & Autumn & I headed home.  Usually I would put Autumn to bed and blog or work on PLife, but I was so tired that I went to sleep and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
