Leprosy From An Armadillo Claw?

This morning we got up and had some breakfast and just relaxed and took it easy.  We watched Princess & The Frog and a Barbie movie.  Then we finally got cleaned up for the day around noon and went over to Mom & Dad’s.  Autumn was so into her artwork that she was kneeling on top of the table to color.  Mom went and got her this cute little stool so she could sit and be more comfortable.  I love this picture of my little artist working on her creations.

Mom said she didn’t want to cook and so she talked Dad into taking us out to Texas Roadhouse since that’s one of the few places she can eat w/ her new diet.  Autumn & Nick both got root beer and it came in these bottles.  Autumn thought it was so cool that she got to drink out of fancy glass bottle, so we had her hold both of them for this picture.

We went through 3 baskets of rolls & 8 cups of honey butter.  We LOVE that stuff.  I am so thankful to have such wonderful parents.  We had so much food leftover that we had food for dinner.

When we got home, I noticed that the purple hyacinth had bloomed.  So, we went to check them out.  They are SO FRAGRANT and I love that you can see the ones on the right that haven’t bloomed yet.  It makes me sad that these don’t last for very long.

We walked down to the other side of the yard to check out the beautiful daffodils.  It’s crazy that we’re still in the month of February and it feels like Spring already.  I’m not complaining b/c Spring is my favorite time of year.

I noticed these cool wood-shaving-curly looking things on the dried pompous grass.

I also noticed this weird thing lying upside down on top of the leaves so I picked it up to see what it was.  I freaked out and threw it when I realized it was a dried up severed armadillo claw!!!  EWWWWW!  Dad didn’t make it any better when he reminded me that only humans and armadillos can have leprosy!  Great, now I’m going to get leprosy from a nasty armadillo claw.

We spent the rest of the day just relaxing and watching TV and taking naps.  Autumn & I finally left at 7:30 to go to the store and get a few groceries.  I love that I can type my grocery list on my new iPhone on the notepad and then I always have my shopping list w/ me when we go to the store.  We came home and put groceries away and then I put her to bed and worked on my 2010 PLife.
