It was so GLORIOUS to sleep in today until 8:45. I got up and got some cinnamon Life cereal for breakfast and watched The Pioneer Woman on the Food Network. I used to read her blog all the time, so it was fun to see her show on TV for the first time. She’s cute and made me want to try the chocolate recipes she showed.
I had to run and get showered and ready for the day and went to pick up the kids at 10:00. They said they had a fabulous time and didn’t want to leave. They talked about how much fun they had the whole way home. It makes me so happy that they got to have such fun experiences and make a memory that they will talk about for months and years to come.
The kids told Papa & Mimi & Lexie all about the fun they had. I dropped the kids off and went to get my nails done. They were waaaaay grown out since I had them done back on December 26th! It was nice to relax and get pampered. Then I ran next door to the kids’ consignment store and found some GREAT deals for Autumn b/c a lot of the clothes were 1/2 off. I love finding great deals.
We ate some lunch before Lexie & the boys hit the road to head home. Mom made sure to feed Jackson lots of rice cereal to keep his tummy satisfied for the long ride home.
Dad peeled some mandarin oranges for the kids and told them they had to eat all the oranges before they could have a Kinder egg. We were sad to say good bye to Lexie & the boys but know they need to get home to Jon & get ready for church and the coming week.
We basically just laid low the rest of the day. I worked on my lesson for YW tomorrow and Autumn sat across from me at the desk and colored papers and cut them out and taped them to other papers. Then she said she wanted me to snuggle w/ her and watch a movie. So, we put on The Little Mermaid and I fell asleep for a little bit.
It was a nice and relaxing Saturday, which are sometimes the best kinds of Saturday to have.
