The Sleepover, The Vow, & The Rock

Today at work it was crazy busy.  We got a new software program and I was helping my boss learn how to use it.  We were so immersed in it that we even ordered in lunch.  I was busy all the way up through 5:00, which doesn’t happen very often.  It was nice to get a lot accomplished.  It is also nice to finally feel back to my normal self as far as getting over my sickness goes.  It’s been a week since I first got sick and today I finally felt like I was back to being my usually healthy self.

P1040606 Last week Mom said that she got an early Valentine’s present for Lexie & I.  There is a girl in her ward that was having a kids’ sleepover at her house this weekend.  The kids would get to see their goats & rabbits, gather eggs from the chickens, decorate cookies, make their own mini-pizzas, etc.  So, Mom signed Autumn  & Andrew up for this sleep over that would be w/ a few other kids from church.  Since I know the Kayli and the family, I felt comfortable w/ it.  We talked it up to the kids for the past few days and they were giddy w/ excitement.  Lexie & I gathered up their sleeping bags, pillows, change of clothes and went and dropped them off.  As soon as we got there, they wanted to run to the backyard to see the goats, but I made them stop so I could get a picture and they were off w/ out even looking back to say good bye.  I am so excited for them and hope they have a fabulous time.

IMG_0049 Mom said she would even watch Jackson even though she was sick.  So, Lexie & I were free women and we went to the movie theater to pick up the tickets I had purchased online earlier to see The Vow.  I know this picture is horribly grainy, but I kind of like it.  I was worried there might be some naughty parts since it’s rated PG-13.  They do show Channing Tatum’s bare bummy when we goes into the bathroom to shower.  I have to say there were no uncomfortable sex scenes and that I was pleasantly surprised to see that they showed them kissing and then would pan away at the right moment.  It was very tastefully done.  The movie was SO SO SO SO SO GOOD and is for sure one that I will buy when it comes out on DVD and I will add it to my Chick Flick repertoire.

P1040608 As we were walking out of the theater, I saw this poster of the Rock and wanted to stop and get a picture.  I was going to make a kissy face at him for this picture, but there were too many people walking by, so I just put my hand up on the poster and told Lexie to hurry.  I meant to put my hand on his chest, b/c his pecs and arms are my favorite.  But, I just put my hand up there w/out looking and ended up putting my hand on his leg/crotch!  WHOOPS!  YIKES!  I PROMISE it was a total accident.

We called Mom to see how the baby was doing and she said he was doing ok.  So, we ran to WalMart really fast to get a treat.  We got a cheesecake sampler and went back to Mom & Dad’s house to eat it.  I had a piece, checked my email, and then came home and worked on Project Life for a while.  I am excited to go to sleep and get to sleep a whole night straight through w/out Autumn kicking me in the back or stealing the covers.
