Tonight after we ate dinner at Mom & Dad’s house, we had FHE. After I bore my testimony on Sunday and went to sit back down, Autumn asked me what a testimony is. So, I gave a little lesson about testimonies for FHE. Then Mom & Dad & I all shared with her something we have a testimony of. It was neat to hear what Mom & Dad said. I need to be better about sharing my testimony of what I believe w/ Autumn. For the activity, we decided to go on a walk. Autumn was thrilled when Mimi agreed to go with us. I noticed this one lone iris plant (that Dad had transplanted from the lot to our front yard last year) was blooming. I love how you can see the different stages that the flower is in. One bud hasn’t opened yet, one is just getting ready to, one is almost there, and one has completely bloomed. Kind of neat to see!
This one of the left is the one in our front yard and I love how it’s purple and has orange on the inside. Then in comparison, the one of the right is near the bridge in our neighborhood. It’s blue and has a white and yellow middle. All of the pictures on this post were taken w/ my iPhone. Technology never ceases to amaze me!
We didn’t get very far on our walk, b/c some of our neighbors were also out walking and enjoying the evening. Once Dad got talking, I knew our walk was going to be curtailed. Autumn & I waited around for a little bit and then we were both getting restless while the “adults” talked, so we kept going. I love this picture of Autumn b/c she’s wearing Andrew’s helmet (we forgot hers at our house) that says Spiderman on it while wearing a pink shirt that says Princess. She’s such a good mix of being girly, but not too girly.
Mom & Dad finally finished talking and started walking towards us when all heck broke loose. I saw Mom waving her arms around b/c she had put on some yummy smelling lotion and the mosquito eaters kept landing on her hands. Then, Emma started to walk around Mom, which got Mom all caught up in Emma’s leash. Then Dad was trying to help and stepped on the back of Mom’s shoe and broke it. She was NOT happy and said she was done and turned around and headed back for home. I was laughing so hard b/c it all happened so fast and the whole thing was so comical. I guess she won’t be going on walks w/ us again anytime soon.
Autumn & I finally left around 8:00 so we could run to WalMart to get some groceries. I always remind myself when I’m checking out or loading the groceries into the back of the car how incredibly blessed I am that I can buy the food we need when I know there are so many who go hungry. It helps me remember not to take my everyday blessings for granted.
