As we left this morning, this was our view down the street. This picture does not do it justice, but the sun was bright red and looked so pretty. I like starting the day off w/ a beautiful sunrise.
After work/school, I went and picked Autumn up and we went to WalMart to get some groceries. We were both hungry, so we decided to stop and get dinner at Subway so we wouldn’t be shopping hungry. We shared a sandwich and chips and drink. Autumn thought she was hot stuff b/c we sat at the tall stools and table. I just love her to pieces.
We got the groceries we needed and then were headed to the other side of the store to pick up the PLife pictures I had printed off. We always stop at the clearance rack in the girl’s section just to see if we can find any good deals. Most of the time we don’t find anything, but today we scored. We got this adorable jacket for only $7 and we’ll save it for this winter. WOO HOO!
On the news this morning they were saying we were going to get some really bad rain storms. When we came out of WalMart, this was what it looked like to the west. The sky was so dark and foreboding. Autumn & I LOVE storms and so we hurried to Mom & Dad’s house before the rain let loose so we could enjoy it. We kept the patio door open and opened up all the blinds so we could watch the lightning.
We watched Dancing With The Stars, and I have to admit that I got all emotional and teary-eyed when Gladys Knight danced. I don’t know why I was so emotional about her. I was completely IMPRESSED w/ how much talent there is this year. My top 3 picks are the Disney kid, Donald Driver the football guy, and Katherine Jenkins the opera singer lady. My favorite person to watch is Sherri Shepherd b/c she is so fun and happy. She & I could be great friends in real life. LOL!
Anyways, after that was over, Autumn & I came home and had to drive slow b/c the rain was coming down so hard it was hard to see the road. The lightning storm was AWESOME b/c it would light up the whole sky and then the thunder would rumble for 10 seconds straight. We were both loving it. Falling asleep to the sound of rain is one of my favorite things.
