I had a coupon for a buy one, get one free smoothie. So, Autumn & I went to get a smoothie for breakfast this morning b/c we had enough time before school. While we were waiting for them, she was playing w/ her “iPad”. I’m so glad she likes it and uses it. She’s been playing a spelling game a lot lately, which is such good practice for her. Our smoothies were good and we tried a new one today that had pineapple and pina colada. I felt like I had been whisked away to Hawaii or the Marshall Islands. Too bad I had to come back to reality and go to work! LOL.
Dad stopped on the way home from work today to get a few things for our shrimp boil for dinner. He saw an Easter basket that was marked 1/2 off, and he got it for Autumn. It came w/ a cute purse and this awesome blinged out headband. She looks so cute wearing it, but wouldn’t keep it on for very long. Maybe we’ll have to re-gift it to Aunt Lexie b/c it’s purple and would look adorable on her.
We had a shrimp boil for dinner b/c Genelle, Mom’s college roommate, came to visit for a few days & she’s from Louisiana and loves shrimp. After dinner, Autumn & Dad put on some grubby clothes and went outside to paint the garden bear. It’s in rough shape from being outside & exposed to the elements all these years. Dad spray painted it brown and then once that dries overnight, he’ll let Autumn paint the details. That will be a fun little project for her.
