This morning at 8:15, I had a parent/teacher conference w/ Autumn’s teacher. She said that Autumn has made great improvements in the last few months. She even got teary-eyed a few times when talking about Autumn and how much she’ll miss her when she starts Kindergarten. That was good to hear.
For dinner we went over to Mom & Dad’s house. After dinner, we watched a show of the top 20 dumbest drivers. Some of them we were laughing so hard and some of them we were cringing. Mom & Dad left to run some errands. Nick & Autumn & I watched, “What Would You Do?” which is so fascinating to me. I love seeing the different human and social dynamics. It was getting late, plus there were news breaks saying that there was a bad hail and thunderstorm headed our way.
So, we came home and the storm hadn’t hit us yet so we put away the garbage cans and then I noticed our neighbor’s sprinklers were on. I told Autumn we should run through them, but she just looked at me like I was crazy. So, I had to show her how it was done. We ran up and down the sidewalk hand in hand and were laughing like little school girls. This pic is so grainy b/c it was dark and I took it from far away w/ an iPhone, but I still like it.
We liked looking at our water footprints on the sidewalk. We didn’t stay outside for too long b/c it started to get super windy and we noticed the storm clouds rolling in. When Nick got home I put his car in the garage in case there was hail. I got Autumn to bed and then wanted to watch a movie. I was going to watch Steel Magnolias or The Help, but I had watched them not too long ago. I decided to watch a movie I haven’t seen in a long time and ended up watching “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken.” It’s such a good movie, and I forgot what a hottie Michael Schoeffling is. Shocking, I know…me thinking a white guy is hot.
