This was the most relaxed Saturday we’ve had in a long time. We woke up at 7:00 (WAAAAAAY to early for a Saturday morning) and basically spent the whole morning just vegging, watching TV, and doing a whole lot of nothing. I kept asking Autumn if she wanted to go shopping for a few groceries we needed but she kept saying no and that she just wanted to hang out and play w/ her dolls. We did get some work done, b/c I swept my bathroom and mopped it. Then Autumn wanted to sweep the kitchen and mop it. She’s a good little helper. We both had a hankerin’ for brownies, so we made some and I let her have a little bit of the batter. She’s also painting her nails, so a lot’s going on in this picture.
We finally got dressed and left the house at 2:30 pm! We went over to Mom & Dad’s house to see what they were up to. Autumn wanted to swim, but it was too cold and cloudy and windy. Liz came over for a little bit to say hi and just have some time out of the house. Autumn was able to talk Liz into letting her paint her nails. Little did Liz know that she was going to paint each fingernail a different color. And, Liz had a hot date w/ Liberty that night. LOL!
Liz also brought me this Ixora Maui Sunset plant for Mother’s Day! I love it and am excited to plant it and watch it grow. She’s such a good friend and I just love her to pieces.
Autumn’s latest obsession are the hermit crabs. She always wants to take them out of their enclosure, but they are nocturnal so we have to wait until evening time. She asked if she could take a picture of them while they were sleeping. LOL! They are in the red and light blue Spiderman shells, and will move into the bigger black and bright blue shells when they grow too big for their current shells.
We were able to Skype w/ Nate in Japan, which was lots of fun. He and Autumn kept making funny faces at each other. Mom & Dad finally went to bed b/c it was late and they were tired. Autumn & I stayed up until about 10:30 and then I was too tired to drive home so we just spent the night at Mom & Dad’s. I’m so thankful for technology that allows us to keep in touch w/ family and friends.
