Swimming & Fireworks

Today was a lot of fun.  We got up and relaxed this morning and then went over to Mom & Dad’s house to swim.  Liz & Jacob & Liberty came over to swim, too.  We got hungry after a few hours, so I made tacos for everyone and then we swam some more.  Autumn was in the pool almost the whole day.  She’s such a little fish!

We finally came in around 6:00 and rested for a while.  We watched some TV and took a little nap.  Then at 9:45 we went to our usual spot to watch some fireworks.  Last year we just sat on the sidewalk to watch, but this year we wised up and brought our camping chairs, a blanket & bug spray so we didn’t get eaten alive by mosquitoes.  We were totally looking rough & tough b/c we hadn’t gotten cleaned up since swimming.  Autumn was just wearing one of Dad’s big t-shirts.

But we didn’t care b/c we had great seats to see the amazing fireworks show.  I tried taking a pic on my little point and click and this is the best I could get.  The finale was incredible, and as soon as it was over we hopped in our car and completely missed all the traffic.  It was a great summer day of swimming & fireworks.
