How on Earth is it already July??? This morning Autumn & I slept in until 9:30, which was SO NICE! Then we watched Anastasia together. She’d never seen it before and it was fun to share that w/ her b/c I used to watch that a lot as a kid. We got ready for church & I realized it’s the 4th of July on Wednesday, so I had her wear her patriotic dress.
She wanted me to get a picture of her long fish tail braid and her blue glitter shoes. I got so emotional and choked up in sacrament meeting when we stood and sang The Star Spangled Banner. I especially like the last verse:
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
It’s such a spiritual song when you really pay attention to the lyrics. It was a great meeting. After church, we came home and had dinner and just spent the rest of the evening relaxing, playing dolls, watching Drop Dead Diva & Army Wives. I also had Nick help me film some things for my Biggest Loser video audition tape. WOOT WOOT!
