Mom called when I was on the way home and said she wasn’t up to making dinner tonight. So she called in an order to the Vietnamese place, and Autumn & I stopped and picked it up on our way home. I scarfed down my food and then had to rush back to Autumn’s school to be there for Kindergarten Curriculum Night at 6:30. We met in each classroom and sat in our child’s seat. Autumn’s teacher is so nice and she went over the expectations for the year, how she rewards the kids for good behavior, what system she uses to give them warnings if they aren’t behaving, how she grades, when report cards come out, etc. It was really informative and I’m glad I went.
The picture above has nothing to do w/ curriculum night, but it’s a pretty mum plant that is in the middle of the dining room table. I like how it looks up close w/ all those buds ready to burst. I’ll take a picture as it blooms, which will be fun to see its different stages.
When I got home, everyone was sleeping. Dad’s tired from being up so early every week day to teach 5:45 am seminary. Mom got up early this morning to go to the temple w/ him & Nick after Dad got done w/ seminary. Autumn was so deep asleep that she was snoring.
She ended up sleeping upside down on the recliner seat! I was worried about waking her up to go home, but she was fine once I finally got her up and walking around. We got home and I laid down w/ her so she’d go back to sleep. While she slept, I read more of the Tiger’s Destiny. It’s a good one so far!
