Mommy/Daughter Date

Mom called to say that she & Dad were going to the local football game w/ the Berretts, so we were on our own tonight.  I told Autumn on Sunday that b/c she was so good during my after church meeting that I would take her out for a special treat.  When I picked her up from school, I told her she could pick where we went to eat.  I told her every restaurant I could think of, but of course she chose McDonald’s.  She had to make her “usual” french fries sandwich.

After we ate, she went and played for a little bit.  Since I was rewarding her for being so good during my meeting, we splurged and got a chocolate dipped cone.  It was melting like crazy and getting everywhere.  Next time we’ll forgo the chocolate to make it less messy.  At least she enjoyed herself.  It was so fun to have a Mommy/Daughter date w/ my little love bug.  I tell her all the time, but I really hope that she knows she’s my greatest blessing.

We came home and just relaxed and hung out together.  After I put her to bed, I watched Sense & Sensibility (LOVE that movie) and then the last 2 episodes of Season 2 of Downton Abbey.  There were a few small things in the story line that I had forgotten, and that was a good refresher.  I LOVE that show, too!  I didn’t get to bed until 1:30 am, and I had no idea it was that late!  I was caught up in the romance & grandeur of it all.
