Our Pinterest Dinner

P1070720 This morning Autumn & I got up, had some breakfast, and then got to work.  We went through every.single.article.of.clothing in her closet and drawers.  We put away all the clothes and dresses and undies and socks and shoes that are too small.  Then we put everything else away.  I even had her put together 5 outfits so that she won’t have to cry about what outfit to wear in the mornings.  She can just pick one of the outfits we already had put together.  Here she is showing off her nice organized closet and an adorable outfit she picked out.

P1070729 We went over to Mom & Dad’s and Mom brought home Jack In The Box for lunch.  After lunch, we decided to watch a movie.  Aunt Jeri had never seen Newsies before, so we decided to watch that.  It’s one of my favorite musicals ever.  I love this picture of Autumn watching it.  Christian Bale was such a hottie.

P1070732 After that we played and colored and read books.  Then for dinner Mom & I made a Pinterest dinner.  Mom finally signed up for Pinterest and wanted to try some of the recipes we had pinned.  We made THESE potatoes (minus the thyme b/c Mom doesn’t like the flavor and minus the gruyere cheese b/c we didn’t have any).  The chicken was just average, but not that great.  I much prefer our parmesan chicken over this recipe we made.  The green beans were actually from a Market Street recipe, but were just average.  So, we’ll make the potato recipe again and scrap the other two.

P1070733 We had recorded the BYU game from earlier and watched it.  I was so glad that my alma mater won.  I tried reading to Autumn but she didn’t want to.  Then she was being whiny and not listening.

P1070734Autumn was being such a stinker that Mom finally took her in her room and put on a movie (Prince Of Egypt) for her and laid down w/ her.  Dad went in to lay down w/ them too.  After a while, I went in to see if Autumn was asleep.  She wasn’t b/c she hid her face in the pillow when she saw me come in w/ a camera.  I love how Dad is smirking in this picture at what a drama queen Autumn can be.

After the movie was over I thought for sure Autumn must be asleep, but Mom said she wasn’t.  She was wide awake and ready to party.  We finally left so we could go to WalMart and get some groceries.  I kept her happy by involving her in the shopping.  I let her write the list of what we need and then I let her mark it off once we put it in our cart.  We got home and I put her to bed and then started baking.  I made 2 desserts for the single adult fireside tomorrow.  I watched some TV w/ Nick and then called it a night.
