Since Rosy Posy’s introduction to our Christmas this year wasn’t very spectacular, she had to redeem herself. I’m not very creative when it comes to Elf On The Shelf ideas, so I am just using THIS calendar of ideas from One Happy Mama. The one for today was “Does your child have a favorite toy? Place your elf with that toy like they are playing together.” Autumn thought that was so funny when she went in her room to get dressed this morning.
Autumn begged to take Rosy Posy to school w/ her. That plays perfectly into the ruse that Rosy Posy watches her during the day and reports back to Santa at night, I let her as long as she promised to keep Rosy Posy in her backpack. That would be bad if she forgot Rosy Posy at school, b/c then I wouldn’t have a way to explain why Rosy Posy just didn’t fly to our house the next morning after visiting Santa.
Anyways, we read a few of Autumn’s easy readers for her homework & 1/2 way through the 2nd book she didn’t want to read anymore. So, Mom bribed her w/ sushi (you can see it at the bottom of the picture) and that was enough to get her to finish. What 5 year old gets bribed w/ sushi??? She has such random & expensive tastes for a little girl.
