Evening Of Service

This was what we did for our Young Women’s activity tonight.  I can’t put too many details b/c we need to keep it sneaky & stealth.  We only had one Laurel tonight, but we still had a great time doing service. 

When we were done w/ the activity, I took her home and she sat in the car and talked for about 45 minutes.  It was good to get to know her better.  I had prayed earlier in the day that I could be of service to someone today, and I figured that our service activity tonight counted.  But, I realized that being a good listener to one of my Young Women that wanted to talk was also part of serving today.  I knew Autumn was being well taken care of and that she doesn’t have school tomorrow so it was OK that she stayed up until 9:30. 

Service is such a great thing, b/c it makes both people better.  It helps the person giving the service & it also helps the person receiving the service.
