Autumn has been so excited for tonight, b/c it’s her first cheer practice. We met at a local park at 7:15 and got some business out of the way (like paying for practice clothes, cheer camp and uniforms). Then it was time for the girls to practice. They found a shady spot b/c it was 101* outside, but we had a nice breeze so it wasn’t intolerable. They learned 2 easy cheers and at the end, they had us come over and video tape them w/ our phones so we can practice at home.
One of the Mom’s & her daughter made pom pom looking flip flops for all 11 girls on the team! Too cute.
This is our group (minus one girl who was on vacation) & our 2 coaches. The Mom & girls all seem really nice & laid back. I am so excited for Autumn & all the fun & exercise & camaraderie & learning & growing she’ll do. This is a big time & financial commitment, but I think it’ll be completely worth it.
When we got home, we saw this rabbit just chillaxin’ in the front yard. He didn’t even move a muscle when we pulled into the driveway or when we put up the garage door. I took this picture and then walked closer to see if maybe he was hurt. A dog came running down the sidewalk, and the rabbit took off running. Whew!
