The (Not So) Great Gatsby

Nate went through and cleaned out his closet & desk & dresser in his old room before he & Riannon left for Spain.  He had a bag of clothes & books that he was donating to Good Will & I saw this book, The Great Gatsby in the book pile.  I’ve never read it before (we read To Kill A Mockingbird in high school), and since it’s a “classic” I decided to read it.

I started it tonight after Autumn went to bed & I stayed up until 1:30 am so I could finish it.  I have to say… I am NOT a fan of the book at all and have no idea why it’s considered a classic.  It’s about people having affairs and getting caught!  And not only that, it’s long and boring and takes forever just to explain what is going on.  Literally half the words in this book could be cut out and you’d still know what is going on.  Anyways, I know some people just LOVE this book, but it gets 2 big thumbs down from me personally.
