Tonight after school we went over to Papa & Mimi’s house & Dad was so excited to show us something he found in the bushes outside…a zipper spider! We LOVED having a zipper spider to watch last year, and were sad we didn’t get another one this year. I guess this one was just waiting until the weather cooled down. Dad went & found a grasshopper out in the yard & threw it into her web. She was on that thing in half a second and had it all wrapped up (white thing in the bottom left hand corner of the picture). That will make a good meal for her & hopefully she’ll stick around for a while. Nature is so fascinating and creepy at the same time.
After dinner Autumn & I ran to the store to pick up a few groceries. I had to get the stuff to make sheet cake éclairs for our FHE dessert tomorrow night. This is what the crust part of the éclairs look like right after it came out of the oven. It looks like a weird science project. I just smooshed down those parts that were sticking up and put the filling on top of it. It might look weird, but it tastes OH.SO.GOOD!
