I was going to go to the Single Adult session at the temple tonight, but poor Mom is SICK, SICK, SICK and even though she offered to watch Autumn for me, I wanted her to rest. So, I went and got Autumn from daycare, we went & got Little Caesar’s pizza for dinner, and then went to the park to have a pizza picnic. We had about 30 minutes before her cheer practice started, so she ran around on the grass and practiced her handstands. Once her coaches got there, I left to go to Hobby Lobby.
When I got to the parking lot, I was shocked by how many birds there were. This picture just doesn’t capture how many THOUSANDS of birds there were. You can see that each black speck is a bird up in the air, but they were also on top of each light post, in the trees, and lining the tops of the buildings.
I had to zoom as far in as my lens would go to get this shot, and you can see how many are lined up on the electrical wire. They were like that all over, and this is just one tiny section.
The parking lot was probably the creepiest part of all. They were EVERYWHERE. Each car had about 20 birds on it, and each empty parking spot had even more. They are also in the trees and lining the top of the building. The noise they made was eerie.
I had to stop and take a pic of these cute Indian figurines for my Indian Princess.
I was so thrilled to see that this Hobby Lobby has all of the new theme card packs. The one that is empty was the Parks theme cards. I am so proud of myself for not going crazy and buying one of each. Actually, I showed real self control and only bought the football pack (w/ my 40% off coupon) for a present I’m working on for someone. I drove back over to cheer practice, got Autumn, and we came home and I put her right to bed.
We were going to work on homework and do some reading, but she started to have a major melt down. There is no reasoning w/ her when she gets like that, so we just skipped all that and went right to the bedtime routine. I let her know it was OK and we would just get up early and do her homework in the morning.
Then I started putting together the present I got the cards for and watched the season finale of Project Runway. All of those collections were pretty great, and those designers are incredibly talented.
