Mary, Karri, Melanie & Christine wanted to take me out for my birthday tonight. Christine wasn’t able to make it b/c of family stuff. She was missed, but I totally understand that family comes first. We met at the bowling alley and decided we didn’t want to bowl, and someone suggested we do a progressive dinner! So, we started w/ appetizers (loaded nachos) since we were already there. One of the managers came over b/c he saw the Happy Birthday crown I was wearing and said he wanted to buy us a round of drinks. We told him we don’t drink, so he bought gave us our nachos for free instead! That was so nice of him to do, especially since he was cute.
I HATE making decisions, so I made them decide where we would go for the next course. They picked Chili’s, which is always a good choice. Melanie & I shared the triple sampler b/c I wasn’t super hungry but wanted to taste the southwestern eggrolls. We had such a good time eating & laughing & catching up w/ each other. Too bad we didn’t get anything for free here. I guess the birthday crown lost its magic powers.
For dessert we went to BJ’s to have a pizookie. It felt so weird not to pay anywhere, but they wouldn’t let me. We got the mini triple sampler to share.
We had such a fabulous time together and I can’t even express how thankful I am for their friendship & love. We were out until 10:30, but it only felt like it had been 30 minutes. I just love them so much & consider myself so blessed to have so many kindred spirit & bosom friends.
