Today I taught in Young Women’s about developing the Christ-like attribute of patience. I had never studied patience before & it has been so interesting to study it this past week. We had a great discussion about it in class, and I left being so amazed at how great the Laurels are that I get to work with. After church we went over to Mom & Dad’s house to eat lunch and relax and spend time together. Autumn is likes to snuggle w/ Emma to the point that she almost smothers poor Emma dog.
While I was browsing Facebook, I saw this picture and almost started to cry. This is Vera (her name means Faith in Slovene) w/ Presednik Lotric, who is the very first Slovene ever baptized as a member of the church. I grew to know and love these 2 incredible Saints while serving my mission in Slovenija. This picture touched my heart so deeply and made me so incredibly happy.
I’m so sad I didn’t get to watch Downton Abbey today b/c England has already moved their clocks ahead an hour for daylight savings! I’ll just have to watch it later on this week. At 5:00 Autumn & I went over to celebrate Jacob’s 2nd birthday (it’s really tomorrow). Liz & Liberty had a bunch of family there and we had lots of good food & cake.
Liz’s Mom wanted me to take some pictures of their family together, and I kept telling her I’m not a professional. But, I think we got a few decent ones. This one is my very favorite! It’s Liz’s Grandma & Grandpa holding hands. I am obsessed w/ pictures of hands.
Aren’t they a super cute family? Autumn had a blast playing w/ Aaron. We finally came home at 7:00 so Autumn could watch Once Upon A Time & then it was bedtime. This was such a great weekend & I’m sad it’s already over.
He’s so stinkin’ cute!!! Thanks for letting us come celebrate your birthday w/ you, Jacob!
