This morning I knew the weather was going to be nice and we didn’t have to be anywhere, so I made Nick wake up and help me put up the Christmas lights outside. I don’t know why it’s always such a stressful thing for me. It brings out my worst side. There was a lot of yelling and a short temper on my end … um, pretty much the opposite of what Christmas is supposed to be about! I’ll have to work on that. But, we got it done and I can’t wait to see how it looks tonight.
I got cleaned up and we went over to Mom & Dad’s. I went right upstairs to work on a special craft project w/ Mom & Lexie. They had already gotten a lot done. I was so glad to see Mom using her tole painting stuff again, b/c she used to do it ALL the time back in the day.
Once Lexie & I were done w/ all the painting part of the ornaments, we took a little break to get some food and watch some of the BYU football game. We won 28 to 23. Woo hoo!
Mom came up and helped Lexie and I put some fancy finishing touches on our 25 ornaments, and then she kept the kids entertained while Lexie & I finished them up. I love this pic of the 3 kids all snuggled up in Papa & Mimi’s bed watching a movie.
These were A LOT of work and a total labor of love. Lexie & I kept saying that there’s no way we would have finished (or even started this) w/out Mom. She’s so talented when it comes to crafts and making things nice. Even though it was a lot of work, we had a lot of fun doing and the best part was talking and laughing w/ Mom & Lexie while we worked.
Lexie & Jon packed up the kids to head home b/c they like to drive at night while the kids are asleep. I had to go to WalMart to pick up the Christmas cards Mom had printed. I saw this wrestling doll and had to stop and take a picture of it. Too bad it’s not life size and REAL!!! Maybe that’s what I’ll ask Santa for for Christmas … Dwayne Johnson. I wouldn’t even have to change my last name. LOL!
Once I got Autumn into bed I put this movie on to have it on in the background while I worked on Project Life. It’s such a good movie!
