This morning Autumn & I woke up, snuggled in bed, watched some Disney Jr, and then got ready for the day. We went over to Mom & Dad’s and had some breakfast and then at 9:00 we all loaded in Lexie & Jon’s van and went to the local theater to see “Frozen.” It was so fun to watch Jackson watch the movie, b/c it’s the first movie in a theater he’s been to and he was completely enthralled. We all LOVED it except for Autumn. It really upset her b/c the one sister hurt the other one. She just cried and cried after we got out of the movie! Poor thing.
We had Chinese food for lunch and then Autumn & I went to get our nails done. Mine were so grown out, and her eyebrows were out of control. It was slow in there, so while Autumn was waiting to get her eyebrows done, Olivia painted her nails. Autumn picked that bright blue color you can see on the bottom left hand side of the pic. I love that she was so relaxed that she had her eyes closed.
We got home and the kids had a great time playing and rough housing. There was so much childhood joy & laughter that accompanied this photo. It was fun to watch them having fun together.
We tried watching Iron Man 3 (I have never seen it before), but the disc kept skipping. So, we put in The Croods and watched that instead. When Dad got home from work we had turkey bone soup, rolls, stuffing, and green bean casserole. I’m so thankful to be together as a family around the table. We are missing having Nate & Rhiannon with us.
We had promised the kids that if they were good, we would go to the big Christmas tree. As we were getting ready to leave, Dad found this cute little gecko outside. I thought it would be too cold for them, but he liked walking on our warm hands.
We got over to the big musical Christmas tree and had to wait a few minutes for it to play a song. While we were waiting, we got a few pictures.
The kids had a BLAST running around the tree and just being outside. They’re going to sleep really well tonight!
After the tree, we went over to where the trains and big Texas maze are set up. The kids had fun playing in the train and then they had us chase them around the maze.
They would have stayed there all night playing if we let them. After the maze we went back over to the tree for some more songs and dancing. I love this picture b/c it captures the magic of childhood & Christmas.
Autumn wanted me to get a pic of her w/ one of her “peeps,” which is what she calls any Indians.
We came straight home after the fun at the Christmas tree and I put her to bed since it was 8:20. Then I curled up on the couch and watched Ghost b/c it was on TV. That movie always makes me feel so sappy (except for the scary parts where the black shadows take the bad guys after they die).
