We were supposed to meet up w/ a friend and his son tonight for dinner, but we got stood up again. I guess it’s good since Autumn was obviously really tired. After we ate dinner, Autumn asked Mimi to come snuggle w/ her on the couch and then Autumn promptly fell asleep.
Liz & Liberty & Jacob came over to Mom & Dad’s to say hi b/c they were in the area. It was fun to sit and visit w/ them. My parents haven’t seen Jacob in a while and were surprised at how big he is now. I’m thankful for such wonderful friends!
I have to mention some bittersweet news. The Marshalls were watching Emma while Mom & Dad were out of town. Mom decided that Emma would be so much happier there b/c they spoil her rotten and let her sleep w/ them, etc. So, Mom is letting them keep her. It’s what’s best for Emma so that’s the sweet side of it. But the house already feels so empty w/out her, which is the bitter part. We’ll miss her terribly and I hope she doesn’t think that we’ve abandoned her. We love you, Emma Dog!
