We got up this morning & found Rosy Posy being a spiritual little elf! She was reading the Christmas Story in Luke 2 & even had her highlighter out in case there was a verse that really touched her heart that she wanted to mark.
This is kind on abstract but cool picture. I was trying to get the frost that had formed on my car window, but you can also see the scenery behind it, which is pretty. School was cancelled today b/c the roads were still icy, but Autumn’s daycare opened at 10:00. So, we had a relaxing breakfast and then got ready and headed out. The roads were pretty clear of ice for the most part. However, when I went over the bridge by my house to get to the freeway I was FREAKING OUT!!! It was covered in what is called “cobblestone ice,” which is basically where there are huge bumps and potholes and it is SCARY to drive on. I was completely white knuckled as I drove across the bridge and said about 38 thankful prayers after I got across. YIKES!
Other than that, the traffic wasn’t too bad. Everyone slowed way down to drive over icy bridges. I was so thankful to get to work safely. After work I got Autumn from daycare and we went over to Mom & Dad’s house to have dinner w/ Nick since he was off. We made spaghetti w/ meatballs & broccoli on the side for something green & healthy. Autumn read to me, we watched “Tinker Bell: Secret Of The Wings” on TV and then I put her to bed. I’m glad the temps are supposed to get above freezing tomorrow so some of this ice can start melting off.
