The snow & ice finally thawed enough today that I could go over by our broken tree & try to plug in the lights again. I was surprised that they didn’t work when I plugged them in. Then I noticed that all the plugs had been pulled out of the box that controls the flashing lights by the weight of the branches falling! Dang it! Guess those lights will have to be thrown away, which is too bad since they were my favorites. But, I just keep reminding myself that it could have been so much worse, and I’ll gladly take my broken lights instead of the tree crashing into the neighbor’s garage!
Autumn wanted to have curly hair tomorrow, so she got showered and then I put curlers in. It’s so much harder to do shorter hair than longer hair! I posted this pic on Facebook w/ the caption of, “Oh no!!! There's a cute Medusa doll playing Barbies in my living room!”
UPDATE: I took her curlers out the next morning & her hair looked HORRIBLE! Some of the curls were super tight up against her head & some were really frizzy. We ended up having to get her hair really wet and just brush it out straight so she could go to school looking decent. Oh, well … live and learn!
