Tonight after work, Mom picked up Autumn from daycare for me, and they came and met me at Costco. I went to Costco after work to get new tires. It’s supposed to snow on Tuesday of next week (it’s 68* today), and my front tires are pretty bald. The guy there was SUPER nice & SUPER helpful and said that I had about 10,000 miles left on my back tires. So, he suggested that I replace just 2 tires and then get 2 more once the others were used up. I’m so thankful for his honest opinion & that he didn’t try to oversell me on anything. I left my car there & Mom & Autumn & I went to Chuy’s restaurant for dinner.
I LOVE their creamy jalapeno ranch sauce, b/c it’s the closest I can get to Cafe Rio. Mom got the fajitas and the meat was so flavorful & so tender that it just melted in your mouth! Plus, the prices were really reasonable for a Mexican dinner. We’re big fans of Chuy’s!!!
My car was finally ready, so we went back over to Costco to pick it up, and then we did some walking around and shopping. I think going to Costco would be so fun for a date, b/c we had fun there for our unplanned GNO. We were walking past these pianos & Mom started waving to the guy selling them. Come to find out, her & Dad work w/ him at the temple on Thursdays! He sat down at one of the pianos & gave us a little concert. He is crazy talented. By the end of his playing, a small group had formed and we all clapped for him b/c it was so amazing. Mom taped it on her phone so she could show it to Dad. She said they had no idea he could play the piano like this!
Mom even treated us to some ice cream & a berry smoothie. I ended up buying another WRMK washi tape dispenser w/ 20 rolls of washi tape. I also got a baby gift for a baby shower I’m going to tomorrow & 2 big nice towels. The ones I use in my bathroom are so old & are getting so ragged. I couldn’t pass up 2 nice new towels for just $10 each b/c they’re soft and oversized. It was a great GNO w/ Autumn & Mom. I’m so glad to have such wonderful & special ladies in my life on a daily basis.
