Tonight we had New Beginnings for our Young Women’s activity. The class presidents picked the theme, “Become the rock the river cannot wash away” from THIS talk from October 2013 General Conference by Elder Richard J. Maynes.
The Young Women’s secretary, the other Lisa, took these pictures of each of the girls and then made them black & white and just left the pop of color the rock value they were holding. It turned out ADORABLE & I was super impressed w/ all the hard work that was put into it. It came together so beautifully and made quite the visual impact when you walked into the room.
They also made these neat wooden plaques for each of the new Beehives (girls that will be turning 12 this year). It has the youth scripture theme for the year on it. From what I could tell, the new Beehives really loved them. The program was really nice and short and sweet, which is the best type of program to have.
For dessert, they had these cupcakes w/ chocolate rocks on top that tied in perfectly w/ the theme.
I am beyond thankful that I get to serve in the Young Women’s organization w/ these incredible leaders & phenomenal Young Women. They are each so unique and I just love them to pieces.
