This morning before church was like World War III. Autumn wanted me to do her hair, so I did and then she decided she didn’t like it. So, I told her to take it out while I went and got ready b/c we needed to leave for church. She went into full meltdown mode w/ jumping and screaming. I escorted her out of my room & shut the door so she could calm down & I could take deep breaths before dealing w/ the situation. After that the day got so much better.
Church was good and I taught in Young Women’s about “The Purpose of Life.” Most of my lesson came from THIS talk by John Hilton III & Anthony Sweat. The girls did a great job & participated and had some great insights.
We had a Laurel’s class presidency meeting after church and since we have a new presidency, it took TWO HOURS! Autumn was a complete angel the whole time and totally redeemed herself from WWIII this morning.
We went over to Mom & Dad’s house for dinner and then Autumn & I went visiting teaching at 4:30. I took Autumn w/ me so she could play w/ Abbey. Then we went & visited Zulema & Ashley at 6:00. It was a super busy and non-stop Sunday.
I have found a great use for all the massive amounts of washi tape I’ve amassed. I am trying to be better about writing actual letters to people. I know that I love to get “happy mail” instead of just bills and junk mail. Plus, it’s a good way to let people know that the little things they do are being noticed and appreciated. I’ve only been doing it for about a month and it’s already made a big difference in my life. It’s a great Sunday night activity and I feel so happy putting those cards in the mail each Monday morning.
