Tonight when I picked Autumn up from daycare I could tell something was wrong just from the look on her face when I walked into the room. I asked her what was wrong, and she said we’d have to talk about it in the car. She handed me her folder from school and there were 3 big sticky notes in there. It was from her teacher and it said that she had had a substitute on Friday & Autumn behaved HORRIBLY. After I read the note I almost started crying. That is so NOT like my sweet Autumn girl. She had earned enough points to go to Subway, but after that note she lost them all. As I was asking her why she was that way for a substitute she just looked at me w/ no expression at all. She knew she was in big trouble.
We went to Papa & Mimi’s and ate dinner and talked all together. I’m thankful for their experienced parenting insight. We came home and I got her to bed and went over to Christine’s. Christine wasn’t home yet so Mel & Karri & Mary & I played cards until Christine got there. It was fun to catch up w/ each other and then watch Bachelor. I haven’t really been into it this season & just go as a reason to hang out and spend time w/ the girls.
As we watched it, I worked on sorting through all my pics for last year to find all the pics I took of Young Women’s to send to Sis. Lee for her to put together a slide show. I didn’t get home until 12:30 am, but it’s worth it to spend time w/ my gal pals.
