It was so good to see my Autumn Girl again! I missed her so much! We like to do a chocolate advent calendar each year, but I couldn’t find one at the stores here. I did find one in Utah, so I brought it home to her and we’ll just have to do 5 a day to catch up. She went to church w/ Mom & Dad, b/c I had meetings before church. It was kind of nice to sit by myself and get to listen to the beautiful Christmas program today. I also got to teach in Laurels today about spiritual gifts. It’s been a long time since I’ve taught. I’m glad we had some girls home from college that wanted to come to Young Women’s, b/c otherwise we would have had just one Laurel in class.
After church I went straight to Mom & Dad’s house. We had dinner and then Autumn was so cute and put some cut up bananas and mandarin oranges that she peeled into a bowl to share w/ everyone. She even got out toothpicks for us to use, which made it super fancy. She’s so sweet & thoughtful!
When we got home she opened 3 presents from Jason & Nicole. They were really nice and sent her 12 presents for the 12 days of Christmas. Since I was gone all last week we missed a few days, so she’ll open 3 presents a day to catch up. Our home teachers came over at 6:00 & then we spent the rest of the evening unpacking and getting ready for this upcoming week. How is it even possible that Christmas is this week? I’m not ready AT ALL & it doesn’t feel like Christmas to me.
