I didn’t have to work today, and the temple is closed tomorrow due to the holiday. So, what better way to celebrate the 4th of July and my freedoms than to be in the temple? I'm thankful to live in a country where I can "worship Almighty God according to the dictates of (my) own conscience." ~Article of Faith #11
After the temple I came home and made breakfast. Then I took 2 big heavy duty black garbage sacks full of clothes to Goodwill. Then I went to WalMart to get a few groceries. Mom called while I was still sitting in my car in the parking lot, so it was good to talk to her and Dad. Especially since it was raining. I love the sound and smell of rain.
I came home, put groceries away, made a yummy pot of taco bean soup, and then Autumn & I ended up taking a nap, I set an alarm so we could wake up in time to go to dinner w/ Liz & Liberty & Jacob. Nothing like eating some good Mexican food to celebrate the 4th of July. LOL!
After dinner we came home & just vegged out. It was nice to have a lazy & relaxing Friday off from work. I also got several loads of laundry done, emptied and loaded the dishwasher, and got some things organized. We’re looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July tomorrow.
