First of all … Happy 38th Anniversary to Mom & Dad. Also, happy birthday and anniversary to my bestest friend ever, Tara! At Activity Days it was just Autumn & Jessica. They put together a FHE lesson, wrote thank you notes, and brainstormed some ideas of how they can help around the house. All of those are things they can pass off for their Faith In God award requirements. I’m thankful for wonderful leaders who go to so much work, even if it’s just for 2 girls.
Autumn wanted Jessica to come over and eat dinner and hang out before I had to go to Young Women’s. So, we got it cleared w/ Jessica’s Mom. The girls were going to eat dinner and go play but Jessica has never seen Teen Beach Movie 2 and really wanted to watch it. We set up a little picnic in the living room so they could eat and watch at the same time. Ah, the simple joys of childhood. Autumn got to continue the party when she stayed at Jessica’s house to play while I went to Young Women’s. She’s a lucky girl.
Tonight for Young Women’s we were all combined (and will be for the whole summer). We talked about the importance of keeping records, and then I showed them Project Life. They all went home w/ several completed pages, which I would call a HUGE success for “scrapbooking” for under an hour. I just LOVE these girls!
