Dinner With The Bergs

We had Stake Conference today, and it was good. After church we went over to Mom & Dad's house for lunch. As I've been sorting through their pictures, I came across a bunch of old rolls of videos. We found the machine to play them and tried using it, but the belt inside was so old that it had turned to mush. Darn it! We'll have to get another belt to see if we can get it working.

The Bergs were on their Public Affairs mission in South Africa the same time that Mom & Dad were. They hit it off and became great friends. They have a son that lives in the area, so while they were in town they came by to have dinner w/ us. Mom made a roast, carrots, potatoes, and gravy. YUM!

After dinner we sat and talked, munched on snacks, and watched football. After everyone's food had digested we had Savi's birthday apple pie that we never got to yesterday.

I thought it was cool that I was able to capture this shot of her blowing out the candles and seeing the flame going out. We're so glad she's a part of our family and that we were able to celebrate her birthday yesterday & today.

It was a BLAST getting to spend time w/ the Bergs again. She's a lot like Dad ... outgoing, happy, and fun. He's a lot like Mom ... doesn't like people in general, rebellious, outspoken. LOL!

Autumn & I came home at 6:30 so we could get her homework done. It took 2 hours, so I'm glad we started when we did! What an AWESOME weekend.
