Merry CHRISTmas 2016

We got up at 6:30 and got everyone up and then lined up on the stairs before going to see what Santa brought the kids.

Autumn got some new fuzzy pajamas, Cinderella castle Legos, 100 gel pens, a jewelry organizer, and an insulated cup w/ some Lindt chocolates inside.

Nate & Riannon came over around 7:00. Nate had to work, but since it was so slow and there were no calls coming in he was able to join us. YAY!!! We gathered around the tree and Dad handed out gifts for us to open. It was a bit chaotic, but it was also so fun to be together.

Once all the presents were opened, Mom & I got busy making breakfast which of course included the traditional scrapple. What an amazing blessing ... family, fun, food, & faith!

After breakfast, everyone started packing up to go home. Lexie & Jon wanted to get home so they could unpack and get ready for the coming week. Autumn & I came home and got ready for church. We got there early to put together the music binders for the young women to sing as part of the special Christmas musical program.

Church was only one hour today, which was nice. We spent the rest of the day doing what we've been doing for 3 days ... eating, watching football, taking naps, and spending time together. Autumn spent most of the day doing her Lego sets. She did 2 Frozen ones, a small Lego Friends set, and when we got home tonight she worked on her Cinderella castle. She's a Lego-putting-together MACHINE!

A line from the song "JOY to the World" that we sang in church today really stood out to me and made a major impact. "He'll come and make the blessings flow." I couldn't stop the tears from flowing as I thought of the bounteous blessings in my life. This group of people right here are right near the top of my list of blessings. My cup runneth over. Merry CHRISTmas!!!
