Memorial Day 2017

 I'm so glad that we didn't have work today so that we could sleep in & recover from the busy & full weekend. We finally got everyone up, got ready, and headed to WalMart. We got some drinks & a few other things we needed. It was a new & funny experience to go shopping w/ that many kids in tow.

 We got over to Mom & Dad's house at 11:00 for a Memorial Day gathering w/ the M family. They brought the most amazing chicken fajita meat w/ salsa & between the rest of us we did the sides, condiments, drinks, salads, and desserts. It was quite the delicious feast!

 I'm sooooo thankful for those in the armed forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy. I'm also sooooo thankful to get to spend the day w/ these amazing people!

 We definitely missed having Mom & Dad here, but are glad they let us use their pool without them. We Facetimed them for a few minutes, which was cool.

 

 The boys had A BLAST doing tricks off of the diving board. We are all for sure going to sleep so well tonight. Autumn was being funny & would only let her eyes show in this picture.

 We finally came home, got cleaned up, and then Frank & I enjoyed some of our wedding cake top layer while opening some gifts from the wedding that we hadn't had a chance to look at yet. This cake is the stuff dreams are made of!

 For dinner we did pulled pork tortilla cups, b/c we need to use up the meat from the open house. I LOVE our family!!!

 One of the ladies that I visit teach was in a baking mood so she dropped off this DELICIOUS banana bread for us to enjoy. She's so thoughtful!

Poor Mason & Grant were so sunburned b/c they didn't put on sunscreen. But they said that usually happens the first swim day of the season ... they burn but then it turns into a nice tan thanks to their American Indian blood. What a long weekend! Autumn & I are NOT ready to go back to work & school tomorrow.
