Time For A Change & Seminary Kick Off

Frank quit his job today, and I could not be happier about it! We had a good heart-to-heart talk last night when I got home from the Relief Society visit. The fact that he comes home completely DRENCHED (look at his work hat), he's exhausted, his shoulders & knee aren't able to heal b/c he re-injures them every day, etc. were enough reasons for me to strongly suggest he quit. We've talked about him quitting for over a month, but Frank felt like he needed to stay b/c there were still things he needed to learn. His chest hurting yesterday was the final straw for me! Plus, he is not doing the work he was originally hired for. He was told he'd be a foreman over the jobs & just being doing hard physical labor every once in a while when needed. It hasn't been that way at all. Plus, some of the business practices have been questionable. It was just time!

It was SO NICE today to come home to a beautiful home cooked meal that I didn't have to make! WOOT WOOT! I'm thankful Frank was able to stay home & rest today after he went and turned in his tools & the keys to his old job.

He also had a doctor's appointment today to follow up on his shoulders & knee. The orthopedic surgeon basically said he's not sure how to help Frank b/c there's inflammation, but there's no bone issues. So, he referred Frank to a pain management specialist & a physical therapist.

After dinner we went to seminary kick off, since seminary starts tomorrow. Frank is worried that Spencer will have too much on his plate w/ seminary & all that's required at school. But I know that Spencer's got this. Seminary is SO IMPORTANT, b/c it puts that spiritual armor on him every school day before he's thrown into the gauntlet of high school.

When we got home from seminary kick off, Frank & I had another really great heart-to-heart talk about all that's going on, all the changes happening, and how we're both handling it. I'm thankful that we can talk openly & honestly w/ each other and that we have true LOVE & compassion & understanding for each other in our conversations.
