Shootin' & State Park

Poor Nate & Riannon! A huge rainstorm came through last night. It woke Spencer up (his pack 'n' play was in the little blue tent), so Nate had to go get him in the rainstorm. Spencer had slept for a while, so he was all wired and crawling around on them all night so they didn't get very good sleep.

I couldn't sleep in, and woke up at 7:30. So, I went up to the house to see if I could help GrannyMom. She was making yummy sausage & egg breakfast burritos & homemade pancakes. It was so nice to visit w/ her w/out any interruptions and watch her cook. I finally talked her into letting me take over so she could go and get ready for church. The rest of us were naughty & didn't go to church w/ them b/c we hadn't brought church clothes & everyone was still fast asleep.

Everyone finally started waking up around 9:30, and slowly trickled into the house to get some breakfast. As soon as tummies were full, it was back to shooting.

Nate & Frank were trying to shoot the mailbox way down at the end of the lane.

Spencer still didn't like all the shots being fired and was super snuggly w/ anyone that would hold him.

After the boys had finished shooting, we loaded in the vehicles & went to a local state park. I had brought sandwich stuff & chips & drinks. Everyone made up their plates, ate, and then took off to explore the park & climb on the rocks. It's hard to believe that this is the same state park we went to back in March when Autumn & I went to OK for the first time. That seems like a LIFETIME ago!

They discovered this cool stick bug! The day flew by way too fast and before we knew it, it was time to take the 2 younger boys back to their Mom. They hurried back to the house to pack up all of their things. Nate & Riannon left straight from the park.

Autumn & I went back to the house & got our stuff packed up, talked w/ GrannyMom & Grampsy when they got home from church, took a little nap, and waited for Frank to get back. Then we took off towards home around 2:00. I LOVE this "canopy" of trees on the back roads of Oklahoma.

We got stuck in traffic for about 30 minutes due to a wreck up ahead, but the drive was so pretty. We finally made it home, got unpacked, had some dinner, and all went to bed early. It was such a fun but tiring weekend!
