WELCOME HOME PAPA & MIMI!!!

Today started super early for me. I got up, got dressed, and went to get donuts for the work crew that was coming over to Mom & Dad's house. People in their ward (church congregation) came & did yard work. I felt so bad that it's been raining so much b/c everything was muddy but they still came out in droves.

I felt bad that we had to leave before it was done, but we had to get to the airport. We made some welcome home signs & this is the sight waiting for them when they came down the escalator.

Mimi was SO HAPPY to love on 2 of the 3 grandbabies that she hadn't ever met.

The whole happy crew (Nick & Savi were on the way but couldn't find the place to park or come into the airport so they just went home).

Ok, so SUPER FUNNY STORY about the baby doll in the car seat at the bottom of the picture. Frank had the doll wrapped up in a blanket & when he went to hand the blanket to Mimi he dropped the baby. We all had bets going as to whether or not Mimi would say a curse word. To her credit, she didn't. But she was so mad when she found out it was a joke. She went over and gently hit Frank. There was even a lady behind Mimi that said she was mad at Frank too for scaring her too! LOL! We were dying laughing.

 2 cute baby girl cousins

Mimi wanted pizza, so I stopped and got some on the way home for everyone to eat. All is right w/ the world again now that Papa & Mimi are home & we're gathered around their kitchen table to eat.

After all of that fun & excitement, it was off to Autumn's cheer game. We had to get a picture of the loudest cheering section for the cheerleaders.

Let's Go Lions!

Lining up for their half time performance. It cracks me up how much taller Autumn is than everyone else.

So grateful for this group of coaches & cheerleaders that are like family.

Of course Dad went straight to work picking weeds at Nick & Savi's as soon as he got home.

And Mimi went straight to doing what she loves ... sitting in her "Sheldon spot" loving on babies.

Dad hasn't even been home 8 hours yet and already one of the Johnson's (close family friends) needs his medical services. LOL! Back to the usual of surgery at the kitchen table.

Jackson & Andrew were loving life b/c they got to drive the lawnmower around the backyard while Papa dug up weeds.

Nate had a hockey game tonight & the kids were restless so we went to watch him play.

GO NATE!!!

Autumn did my hair in a braid and I used the coats that the kids didn't want to wear to keep Alisa warm.

Watching the Zamboni between games.

The kids still had some energy they wanted to get out, so I took them to the maze & let them run around until I was too cold & tired. So, we called it a night. What a day!!!
