Papa came over this morning and brought doughnuts. Autumn has started to get a little cough, so I had her do a breathing treatment and watch cartoons while I got ready for the day. I remember when she was little and we would have to hold her down to do the treatments. Now she’s so good about holding the mask herself and taking the treatments.
Today passed pretty fast at work b/c I was training a lady from another franchise on what products to order and how to use the ordering website. She was really nice and we got along really well. She offered to buy me lunch for helping her, so I suggested Market Street b/c she had never eaten there before.
At 5:00, everyone came to my work to pick me up and get my car so the boys could drive my car since it’s more roomy than the truck. We headed to Cowboys Stadium for the BYU vs TCU game. It was stressful getting there b/c of traffic, but we made it. We had to stop and get a picture of the Rangers Baseball Stadium in the background, b/c they are playing tonight and we hope that the Rangers will win the World Series tonight.
We got to the stadium and found our seats, which were in the south east corner of the end zone. There were quite a few BYU fans, and the BYU team is lucky, b/c they will have more fans than most visiting teams will have b/c of the Mormon connection.
Here are the Cougars running out onto the field while the big screen is showing the coin toss. Also, they had the top of the stadium open, so it was PERFECT fall football weather.
This is kind of a random picture, especially w/ this guy’s big head in the way. I was trying to get a picture of the guy in the purple TCU hat w/ the white hair. We were seated just across the aisle from the TCU section. Some guy came and sat in an empty chair in front of this guy and had 2 signs. One said, “Mormons R N A Cult,” and the other one said “Muck the Mormons.” He never said anything to us, but just kept holding up those signs and pointing to us. The guy w/ the white hair basically told him to leave b/c he wasn’t going to tolerate that type of crap. He went to go get a police officer or event staff to escort that guy somewhere else. The jerky guy decided to leave on his own, but we were SO THANKFUL to the guy w/ the white hair for taking a stand. Lexie & I got up to use the bathroom and on our way back to our seats she went over and told the white haired guy thank you and how much we appreciated him doing that. He said it wasn’t a big deal but that TCU fans are not like that man and they are glad we are here.
We were glad we were there too, but are sad that BYU didn’t win. The final score was 38 to 28. It was a bad night for our teams, b/c the Rangers lost the World Series tonight. They kept giving us updates on the big screen throughout the game. I am sad BYU lost, but LOVED it when Riley Nelson gave the ref that was holding up his arms for the 2 points conversion, a high five. You can watch the video HERE. I drove home b/c Mom didn’t want to, and then took Kylie home. I am so out of the loop on what the going hourly rate is for babysitting. She watched the kids from 4 pm –12 am! I am glad the kids were good for her and that they had a good time. I didn’t even have to worry about them once b/c Kylie’s so great. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
