Baking Rolls & Pies

P1030810 Today at work it was SO SLOW b/c of the holiday tomorrow, so I got to leave 45 minutes early.  I stopped and got Autumn from “college” and then we went over to Mom & Dad’s house so I could help Mom make butterhorn rolls and pies for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.  Usually she has the dough made and rising so that when I get there we can just butter them up, cut them, roll them, and bake them.  But, she & Dad had gone out shopping so Lexie & I started making the dough.  After we got the dough raising and Mom & Dad got back, we had Mom do a fashion show for us.  This is one of the dresses she got, and she looks like such a skinny minnie!

P1030811The kids were being so cute and sharing the iPad together.  When I went to get a picture, stink pot Autumn turned her head and closed her eyes.  She’s been doing that a lot lately.  While the rolls were raising, we made 2 pumpkin pies, a cherry, and a blueberry.  Then Mom & I cooked 2 batches of rolls and rationed out a few warm ones to everyone, b/c we had to save the rest of them for tomorrow.  I am so glad that we have these traditions that I am learning from Mom so that I can carry on the tradition.

Autumn said she wanted to spend the night so she could wake up and have waffles w/ Andrew & Papa in the morning.  So, we slept in one of the guest bedrooms.
