Today was another super busy day. I worked my normal day, but didn’t go home after work. Mom & Dad were kind enough to get Autumn from “college” for me so I could go to the temple. There is a big Single Adult conference going on this weekend and as part of it, we had a session at the temple. Since it wasn’t until 7:00, I stopped at Subway to get some dinner. I got to the temple a little early, so I just sat and read the scriptures for a while and closed my eyes to pray and ended up taking a little cat nap b/c I was so tired! Anyways, one the temple presidency came and spoke to us about the blessings of the temple for a little bit and then we did a 7:30 session. Every single seat was filled and there were WAY more sisters than brethren (like usual). It was a good session.
I rushed home to change my clothes and get a big drink of Dr. Pepper so the caffeine would help me stay awake, and then I went and picked up Christine. She said Melanie lived close by and needed a ride, so we stopped at got her and then went to Mary’s to get her. We all headed to the theater around 10:30 for the 12:02 showing of Breaking Dawn. Luckily, the movie theater let us go sit and wait in the actual theater so we weren’t standing outside in the cold. Since we had a long time to wait, Mary & Christine both brought some crochet stuff to work on. We were laughing and teasing them about making us look older than we really are amongst all these young teenagers. But, we were laughing the most of anyone else in the theater and were having the most fun.
Here’s our group after the movie. I was disappointed that Jacob only took his shirt off once. I was also shocked at how much skin was shown during the honeymoon scene. I don’t think they needed to show as much intimacy as they did. They could have just hinted at it, b/c we all knew what they were doing. I was also surprised at how graphic it was as far as blood and guts and gore. They did a great job of making Bella look really sick and skinny when she was pregnant. Definitely not a movie for young girls. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this group of women and am so glad we’ve made it a tradition to go see these movies together. It’s not so much the movie itself, but just getting to have a GNO. We are SO EXCITED for the new Hunger Games movie and have made plans to go see that when it comes out.
