I read on someone’s Facebook status that their kids call today Christmas Adam since tomorrow is Christmas Eve & Adam came before Eve! I thought that was really clever and am totally going to start calling the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Adam.
Today I took Autumn over to Mom & Dad’s again b/c she still has a bad cough. I feel bad that they’ve had to watch her the past 3 days when her daycare is open. But, I’m thankful they could watch her so she didn’t get the other kids at school sick. I got to leave work today at 2:30, which was nice. I don’t know what it was about drivers today, but they were SCARY! I almost got into a huge car accident b/c this stupid kid in front of me went to switch lanes and almost clipped the back of a mini van. He slammed on his brakes and swerved to miss them and ended up going across 3 lanes of traffic, up the curb (he’s lucky he didn’t flip his car or roll), and onto the grass. It happened in a matter of just seconds and scared me so bad. My heart was racing so fast and I’m thankful there were no cars in the other lanes or else he would have hit them. I’m glad he didn’t roll and that he was safe.
I got to Mom & Dad’s house and Mom got home w/ some groceries so I helped her bring those in. She is holding a bowl of creamed corn from Rudy’s that Dad got her b/c he knows she loves it. It’s so rich and creamy and sweet. I had her point at Rufio’s tush b/c Rufio forgot to bring any extra pairs of pants and so they went shopping to get her some more and Mom talked her into buying this pair of jeans that had this cute design on the butt. I’m shocked that Rufio bought them and wore them. She looked so cute in them.
After we ate dinner, we loaded in the car to go on an adventure. The kids wanted to go show Rufio the big musical Christmas tree. They had fun dancing on the benches and running around the tree.
It was really cold, so we got all bundled up. We didn’t stay for very long b/c we wanted to continue our adventure.
We all went to Market Street so we could say hi to Nick, who was working, and also to pick up a few groceries we needed to make scrapple and cream cheese bread for Christmas morning. We were all kind of ornery and getting easily annoyed w/ each other, so Lexie & Jon pretended to drown their sorrows in drink mixes. LOL!
After that, we walked over to the huge lighted tree that has lights on every single branch. Dad put the kids up on these horse statues and we told them to swing their arms around their heads like they had a lasso, but this was all we got. They were scared they would fall if they let go of the statue.
I wanted a picture of the whole group, so I propped my camera up on my gloves on the back of the horse statue. This was the best I could get, but it’s better than nothing.
I just love that this shopping center does this tree every year. You can’t tell how massive this tree really is from this picture. It also has some big tube lights that look like icicles falling. So cool! After that, we loaded back in the cars and went to show Rufio the big mansion that is covered in lights and the house that has their lights timed to music. After that, we were ready to be done so we went home. It was already 9:00 by this point and Autumn hadn’t taken a nap today, so we came home and I put her to bed. Then I edited some pictures and blogged and watched TV with Nick. I can’t believe it’s already Christmas Eve tomorrow! It will be nice to have a 3 day weekend.

My hubby LOVES that creamed corn from Rudy's too! The closest one to us is in San Antonio ( 3 hours away !) but in 2012 one will be opening up 10 minutes from our house ,so he's happy !
I did find the recipe online but lost it before I could make it !
