Autumn & I went to WalMart the other night to get some groceries. They already have their school supplies out, and I already paid the $40 for her to have the pre-packaged school supplies. That way I don’t have to run from store to store trying to find a random thing she needs. But, she still needed a backpack so she picked out this one. It came w/ a padded laptop case to boot. Score for me & her!
We checked out the clearance racks and found some AWESOME deals. We got some cute shirts w/ the stretchy capri pants she loves for just $3 for both pieces! LOVE THAT. Then we also found this NCAA Longhorns cheerleading uniform for just $7!!! It has the shirt, skirt, and even bloomers. It’s too big for her now, but I’ll save it and it will make a great Halloween costume in a few years.
A few weeks ago there was a deal on Very Jane for Scrabble tiles w/ sayings on them. These 3 sayings really spoke to me, so I got them. They came in the mail yesterday and I wore the pink one today. I know it’s a crummy picture b/c I had bad lighting, so here’s what the tiles say:
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.” ~Audrey Hepburn
“Promise me you’ll always remember you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” ~Winnie The Pooh
“Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can fall together.” ~Marilyn Monroe
At work, I got a bunch of orders in and then started training a new lady that works in the office on how to do part of my job for when I’m gone next week. She said her brain was fried after just a little bit. I’m not tooting my own horn, but I really do A LOT at my job and I’m only showing her how to do a fraction of it. I’m going to leave her as many detailed notes as I can. I also told her that it’s not like I’ll be on some remote island, and she can call me if she has any questions. We were so busy training that I didn’t even stop to eat lunch.
We got to Mom & Dad’s and we grilled T-bone steaks and corn on the cob for dinner. It was super tasty. Then we tried watching a movie Mom had rented from Redbox called Elephant Sighs. It had Ed Asner in it, and I LOVE him from the Mary Tyler Moore show. It was really slow moving at first and we kept waiting for it to pick up and get better. We finally turned it off 1/2 way through b/c it was so slow and random and weird. It was like a wannabe Napoleon Dynamite but for old men. BLEH.
Anyways, we came home and I got her to bed and then watched the new season of Project Runway! YEAH!!!
