Tonight for our Young Women’s activity, we were going to play glow-in-the-dark volleyball w/ the boys. I’ve never played it before, but I guess you get beach balls and the thin bracelet type glow sticks and put them in the hole where you blow up the beach balls and play that way! So, I went to the $1 store and got the stuff for it, but we ended up not doing it. We only had 1 young man show up and 3 girls. Plus, the girls got set apart to be the new Laurel’s class presidency so by the time that was all done it was already 7:30. So, we scrapped those plans and went to Braum’s instead.
I got their old fashioned banana split, which was on sale for $3.49. I thought it was going to be a little treat but it was HUGE! This bowl was the length of my arm from where my elbow bends to my wrist! I told the girls this would be such a great thing to do for a date, b/c it’s cheap and they could “split” a banana split. LOL! I was glad the Young Women w/ me weren’t shy and dove right in to help me eat it after they finished their own ice cream cones. We kept laughing about the cheesy elevator music they had blaring from the speakers. It was fun to just sit and visit w/ them and get to know them better. I dropped them all off at home and then went back to Mom & Dad’s to get Autumn. She had fallen asleep and so we finished watching America Ninja Warrior and then I took her home. She was wide awake after her 2 hour nap so I gave her a shower and then let her play for a while before we all called it a night and went to bed at 11:00.
