I got up early this morning so I could get cleaned up & go over to Mom & Dad’s in time to get Autumn. I gave her a bath & then she picked one of the 3 dresses I brought for her to wear. After she was ready Papa told us he had a surprise to show us. When he went out to empty the skimmers in the pool, he said this tarantula was just sitting on top of the skimmer handle. He put it in this jar w/ air holes, b/c there’s a kid in their ward that keeps them as pets that wanted it. This picture cracks me up b/c Autumn’s in her cute girly dress while holding a non-cute and non-girly tarantula.
Mimi did her hair in a French braid & she looked oh so fancy.
We had to go outside & snap a few quick pics before heading off to church. I said the closing prayer in sacrament meeting, and I also taught in Laurel’s. We talked about why we needed a restoration. I had the girls tell me some doctrines that were lost during the Dark Ages. I wrote those on the left hand side of the board, and then on the right hand side of the board we wrote what truths were restored that clarify those lost doctrines. It was a great discussion.
Autumn & I came home & had some lunch and waited for our home teachers to come over at 3:00. I noticed Autumn wasn’t in watching TV & that she was being way too quiet, which is usually not a good thing (visions of permanent markers on the walls went through my head). I was pleasantly surprised to see her sitting on her bed working on her rainbow looms. I love this picture b/c it shows some of her favorite things right now … her Pocahontas sleeping bag, her pillow pet, her pile of blankets on the floor, her peach sheets, her trundle bed, etc.
After our home teachers left, we went over to Mom & Dad’s for dinner. The Coles were there visiting, and it was so good to see them again. Autumn wanted me to watch a movie w/ her, so I didn’t get a chance to sit & visit with them. She picked Swan Princess III. Then we started Tangled. I had to leave for a Bishop’s Youth Discussion at 7:00. We talked about family history & the youth finding a name to take to the temple in June right after Trek. I love snapping a picture of all the shoes by the front door at firesides.
