Movie, Games & Adam’s 1st Birthday Smash Cake

IMG_5708 I didn’t get up & go to the temple today like I usually do on Saturday mornings, b/c I am getting sick w/ the crud that has been going around the house.  Both of the babies have had it, and then Jackson was throwing up yesterday.  Right now I have a runny nose, sore throat, & cough.  I hope it just stays as that & doesn’t turn into the full blown flu.  The kids wanted to go to Kid Mania again today, but instead I took Autumn & Andrew to see Night At The Museum.  It was really good and I even cried at the end when Robin William’s character is saying good bye. I still can’t believe he’s gone!

IMG_5710 We came home & spent the rest of the afternoon playing games & spending time together.  We played Jenga & at first Jackson didn’t know how to play so he knocked over our tower as soon as we had it built!  LOL.  We had to rebuild it & explain the rules of the game to him.  He did great after that.

IMG_5711 Autumn & I played a few rousing rounds of pick up sticks.

IMG_5712 Then Autumn & Andrew & Lexie & I played Monopoly Town.  This is about the level of Monopoly I can stand.  I strongly dislike the real game b/c it’s so long and boring.

IMG_5713 Autumn & I played cards for a while and then Jon took over my spot while I went & helped Mom make dinner.  We had Asian Chicken salad, which was really good and hit the spot.

P1120451 After dinner we celebrated Adam’s 1st birthday. His actual birthday is Monday the 29th, but we wanted to celebrate tonight before Jon goes back home to work this week.  Here’s the cute before picture.

IMG_5714And here’s the crazy after picture.  We all thought he would be shy about digging into the smash cake, but as you can see he had no issues at all.  He just stuck his fingers in and started eating the frosting.  At one point he even put his whole face in the cake.  Lexie gave him the green frosting mohawk but other than that the whole mess is his own doing.  We were all impressed & were laughing that he was so into it.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, ADAM!!!
