Frank was sharing pictures from his phone w/ me, and I didn't realize he had taken this picture of me. I got up in the night to pump & feed baby girl. We both fell asleep on the couch. Even though it isn't very comfortable to sleep like this, I cherish it b/c she's growing so fast and before I know it, she'll be too big to fall asleep on my chest.
We headed over to where Frank works sometimes during the week to get him a new (used) truck. A guy he works with had to move out of state to take care of his aging parents, so he was looking to sell his diesel truck quickly. Frank looked it over and said there are a few things wrong with it, but it's stuff he can fix. For example, the A/C doesn't work and you have to start it with a screwdriver. LOL! So, Frank bought the truck for only ... $250.00! No, I didn't forget an extra zero in there. He got it for just two HUNDRED and fifty dollars!
Frank knew the tires were bad, so I followed him home just in case something went wrong. Well, about 10 miles from home the truck was shaking super bad and all of a sudden the back left driver's side tire blew out! We pulled over and I hurried and called the police so they could block one lane of traffic so Frank could safely change the tire since it was on the driver's side.
When the tire blew it was so violent that it blew the metal well rim of the truck up underneath!!!
We finally got home, got some stuff together, and headed over to Nick & Savi's for a swim party. Liz & Liberty & the boys came too. It was so fun.
The water was great & Baby Alisa enjoyed it this time (it was too cold for her the last time we swam. Here's the whole motley crew.
Everyone went home and got cleaned up, and then we went over to Liz & Liberty's at 9:45 to watch the huge fireworks show that you can see perfectly from their back yard. Our city always does our massive fireworks show the weekend before the 4th of July.
Even though it was hot outside, the 3 of us were all covered up so we didn't get eaten alive by mosquitoes. It was a great fireworks display, and as soon as it was over we took off to beat all of the traffic. What a fun Saturday!
